honestly I’m always kinda suspicious of the english language because AMERICANS get it wrong like not knowing the difference between “then” and “than” I CAN’T EVEN TRUST THE NATIVE SPEAKERS

YES omg when i see native speakers getting stuff wrong it feels so weird like “what the hell this is your native language and i’m the foreigner I should be the one making mistakes here”

but then again, people learning portuguese must feel the same?? perhaps even worse since us brazilians looove twisting the grammar and structure until it becomes something that really only makes sense to native brazilian speakers. also i don’t think there’s as many resources available to people who want to learn portuguese compared to english (which is THE IMPERIALIST LANGUAGE all around the world so it makes sense that there’s more about it on the internet)

man i used to have such a hard time with prepositions. im working on the script for my future webcomic and bRUH I know the struggle

like, i believe my english IS pretty good?? above average at least. but prepositions are awful i end up mixing things up without realizing

at least i’m learning stuff w/ how much i’m looking up the same thing over and over again?? i’ve memorized a lot of stuff after i started writing seriously in english last year

I think romantic indecisive is like you’re a pretty romantic person but you act kinda shy/not very assertive? Are you not being assertive enough when giving your significant other flowers julia

i’m p romantic tbh but like. super lazy and casual about it. idk if that’s assertive or not. maybe ‘laidback romantic’ would fit better than ‘romantic indecisive’

also how does one go about being assertive while giving flowers

I don’t blame you I mean we need to use that knowledge for SOMETHING

ppl mentioning like the x-men movies and my thought process is literally “oh yes, x-men: humans with super powers due to mutation. the neodarwinist theory of evolution puts mutation as the main cause of genetic variability and, thus, adaptation – since darwinism couldn’t quite pinpoint what exactly caused variability bc mendel’s studies on genetics only became accepted after darwin’s death. darwin’s theory of evolution was revolutionary at the time, and largely discredited lamarckism in the long run”
