yeah same. when i tried to separate by portuguese rules my teachers would say it was very wrong but it also feels very wrong to skip a line to write the entire word?? so i just shrink my handwriting so it fits lmao

the papers i had to write at my english courses were always a MESS bc my handwriting was normal at the start of the line but ended up either shrunken or stretched by the end of it. honestly it’s the w o r s t

i learnt that u must never separate syllables in english :0 !!

i remember asking a teacher about it when i was like 12 and he just told me syllabic separation wasn’t important. which does make me wonder – when one is writing on paper and runs out of space at the end of the line, what does one do? does one just write the entire word in a new line and leave the end of the previous line empty? this feels wrong and wasteful. maybe it’s just one of those things only native speakers have to worry about and us don’t

ahh i see!!! we have 7 weeks including enems week to review stuff for fuvest and unicamp and unesp!!! its very tiring tho… i heard u did well on enem?? conngrats!!! i wasnt so good tho rip

my maths grade on ENEM is probably gonna suffer bc i got some easy questions wrong purely by mental exhaustion and the TRI thing doesn’t really forgive this sort of thing lmao. considering that ENEM, on top of being extremely demanding mentally AND physically, was also slightly harder this year, i’d guess most other people couldn’t perform as well as they planned to as well

lookin great julia!!!! also u had a break after enem???!¿?!? boy, fuck etapa we didnt have this

i think it was due to this year’s ENEM taking place a week earlier than last year’s, so my cursinho had to reschedule the whole calendar so the teachers would be able to finish the program before ENEM. originally we were going to have a whole week before ENEM just for reviewing, but because of that schedule inconvenience we had to scrap it. (like, the original calendar had more holidays spread during the year but those had to be scrapped as well. so those 3 days are probably compensation for that)

however!! most of the major exams (fuvest unicamp etc) were actually postponed to a week later than they were last year, so we’ll have about 2 weeks to review everything for those tests. it’s good news i guess

im gonna be 18 in less than a month too I Cant Do This either

i’m honestly excited about the New Experiences of This New Phase Of My Life but it’s still something i feel quite uneasy about. i hope it’s something comparable to that feeling of when you’re a kid in an amusement park and youre finally tall enough for the Grown-up Rollercoaster and you feel kinda sick in the stomach right before you get in the cart but once it’s done and you stop screaming it ceases to be a Huge Deal and you move onto the new things Adult Life has to offer
