I just remembered a really cute story so I’m gonna tell it. It’s from a guy, Lee Harrington, who gives talks on BDSM, kink, and spirituality. he came through last year and told this one during a rope workshop
one time he was giving a talk somewhere and defined ageplay for the audience bc someone else mentioned it. after the talk an elderly couple came up to him and was like “you talked about age play!!! we do that!!!”
so he asks them to tell him about it bc they’re REALLY excited and Lee Harrington is really, really sweet. he’s thinking ‘okay, so it’s probably one of you pretending to be a baby, etc.’
but INSTEAD what the elderly couple says is “oh, we pretend we’re seventeen!!! so we sneak out and neck in his car and then pretend we have to sneak into a bar because we’re underage!!!!!!”
I’m frequently asked, “are there older genderqueer / non-binary people out there?” Of course!
Many just aren’t as visible – the media doesn’t cover their stories, they aren’t online blogging and posting selfies, and more likely than not they’ve had to hide under a historically harsher LGBT-unfriendly climate.
Here’s to all my “older” wiser friends. It’s never too late to transition.
(PS: The photography also has a Kickstarter project that closes in a few days.)
