The germs would go on that key, then in your pocket so ? How much of a difference does that make ?!Fortunately, germs are nowhere near as likely to stick to a piece of solid metal as your hands. They stick to the doorknob itself because it’s covered in so much human skin oil, which is also a nourishment source, like a petri dish.
…..I’d probably still dab hand sanitizer on my door-opener when nobody’s looking, though, just to be sure.
I feel like this would also be good for people with certain disabilities or who otherwise might have trouble gripping the door handle! :O
