Bowie’s music, presence, style and vision were beyond influential. But his influence on queer culture must not be forgotten. Today, people from all over the LGBTQ spectrum used social media to express how Bowie helped them find comfort in childhood. Major queer artists also chimed in to say without Bowie, they wouldn’t be here.
