The thing that bugs me about the whole “do you trust me?” gotcha question is that it’s equivocating different senses of the word “trust”. That you can trust in a person’s loyalty or moral character doesn’t necessarily mean you can trust their judgement or situational awareness – I know some perfectly lovely people who are also complete dumbasses.
