this is not a frog.
I needed to create a piece related to me and my interests and so on.
This is a toad and not a frog and its important you know the difference because it is much easier to catch toads than frogs. Some of my best memories are from when me and my best friend Katie would go catch Toads in her backyard. We could find their position by imitating the the call they make during mating season. After locating and catching them we would always be sure to check if they were female or male, and if they were in the middle of laying eggs we wouldn’t disturb them; we didn’t want to mess up their activities. eventual we would bring them to the pond behind my house so they would lay their eggs there, and we would wait all spring in anticipation of seeing the tiny tadpoles. That summer we found out that this was a terrible choice. Their eggs hatched and for the time being the tad poles stayed in the pond but eventual grew in the spring peepers (baby toads). They would sing their little songs all night long until, my father almost completely annihilated their population with the lawn mower. I was so upset when i found the little dead baby toads in the grass i cried for hours. My brother picked on me telling me “they are only frogs”. Being as upset as i was i screamed at him “they are toads not frogs! along with several profanities. To this day i still have a strong reaction to people who don’t know the difference between frogs and toads.
